“Training is less science than art. Be the artist.” Those powerful words came from Shawn Phillips in a recent status update on his Facebook wall. Those words resonated with me deeply and I shared this comment…
“Hitting the LOVE button!!! Artists are ‘In the moment’, They allow their thoughts, vision, passion, and heart pour out onto the canvas. Their art is an extension and an expression of themselves. They take great pride in their work.”
Then my buddy Darin Steen chimed in with this to say, “Hey Scott, that is profound dude. That describes me better than anyone ever has before. thanks for putting it that way!”
This picture of Shawn is an image that has motivated and inspired me for years. When I first laid my wide open eyes on it I was caught in a trance. I was mesmerized. I was fascinated. I admired the image as a great work of art. A beautiful masterpiece. The last thing that I was thinking about was the science behind what it took for Shawn to carve out this incredible sculpture of a body. about Training Is Less Science Than Art… Be The Artist
