K, I’ve gotten from friends…”Ange I can’t have the body I’ve had in my 20’s…I’m just too old.” “I’ve had a C-Section, I can’t get abs now.”
I’ve heard all the excuses in the world! You know them too because you likely harbor all of them…”I have no time to work out.” “My kids need me.” “I can’t lose weight because my metabolism is messed up.” “I can’t do cardio because I have bad knees.”
Well, I’m presently 39 and I have a more toned, rock solid, muscular body than I ever had in my 20’s. I’ve also had a C-Sectin for my daughter. Oh, and did you check out my abs!? Yes – that is AFTER a C-Section! So what is your excuse now? Oh-you have no time? You expect me to believe that you don’t have 30 min. to spare? Whatever. I work full time. (I was actually operating a home daycare full time up until last week, taking up 60 hrs of my week.) I am also the mom of 2 crazy kids. I own a demanding dog, and a high maintenance cat. Life is busy. Everyone is.
The winners are the people that make their health and fitness a priority despite their crazy lives.
Sorry for sounding a bit harsh, but I hear so much b.s. from people. The fact is that most people just want that quick fix. They would rather put foreign chemicals in their body to lose weight, or spend thousands of dollars on ‘tucks’ here and there.
So if you are truly serious about becoming fit and healthy, stick with me and I can help you along your journey. Okay? No more excuses!
Yes, yes the big 4-0 is approaching for me…I want to share my goals with you as I enter this new and exciting phase in my life. I definitely will be in the best shape of my life. I know what I need to do and I know that it is totally possible. There are mainly two things that I need in place: A sound exercise program and a credible nutrition program. This is where a lot of people lose focus…they just don’t know what to DO for exercise and/or what to EAT to lose fat and gain lean muscle. I will tell you what I highly recommend.
I do keep myself in relatively good shape all year round. So how do I do it? I been following our own program, Metabolic Masterpiece and just recently have tried Flavia Del Monte’s Program, Curvalicious. I am loving the variety of both programs! I will continue to follow these programs until the spring when I will get a professional photo shoot to capture my dedicated efforts to chisel my body.
Presently, in terms of nutrition, I know I need to eat cleaner. Less junk and less snacking before bed. I will keep you posted on how I manage to curb these cravings!
