Aesthetic Muscle Journal April 26th: 93 Year Old Staying Strong, Cheat Day, Shayne Dancing

By Scott Tousignant on April 27, 2014

In today’s behind the scenes footage you get to see my 93 year old training client in action once again.

Getting in and out of chairs is a big deal to him… so we work on bench squats and squat holds quite a bit… and try various bench heights.

Bill is a HUGE inspiration to me… displaying how STRENGTH is our greatest asset in life.

You’ll also get to see my son perform with his school dance team. I had no idea what to expect. They had a blast.

Plus, today was pretty much an all out cheat day… so, you’ll get to see some of my favorite treat foods.

Physique Frontier Podcast Episode 15: Muscle Building and Body Image with Armi Legge

By Scott Tousignant on April 25, 2014

Welcome to another exciting episode of the Physique Frontier Podcast. Joining me today for a fun, information packed show is Armi Legge…
Armi Legge
I’ve known Armi as the evidence based fat loss guy who helps you simplify your health, fitness, and productivity.

But just recently, I heard Armi mention that he was going through a muscle building phase… and that he’s a lightweight like me 😉

So, I jumped on the opportunity to pick his brain and gain some insights into why he decided to shift his focus toward building muscle and how he’s going about achieving his muscle building goals.

This lead to a great conversation about how much more challenging it is to predict and set muscle building goals compared to fat loss goals.

We discussed the role that vanity and aesthetics plays… about Physique Frontier Podcast Episode 15: Muscle Building and Body Image with Armi Legge

Aesthetic Muscle Journal April 23rd: Leg Day and Scale Deception

By Scott Tousignant on April 24, 2014

In today’s video you’ll see behind the scenes footage from our brutal leg workout in addition to each of the meals I consumed today… half of which could be considered junk food… yet I’m still making progress toward crazy ripped abs.

I also share some insights into scale deception… and why I didn’t panic or feel guilty after seeing my weight go up 3 pounds after a day of indulgence. Unfortunately, some people would throw in the towel and beat themselves up… saying, “I blew it again!”

Aesthetic Muscle Journal April 22nd: Are BCAA’s Worth The Cost?

By Scott Tousignant on April 23, 2014

bcaa's - are they worth it?Branched Chain Amino Acids – BCAA’s are one of those controversial supplements that people either swear by or believe they are a complete waste of money.

In today’s behind the scenes footage I share my thoughts on bcaa’s… which I haven’t used in a long time… until just recently when I decided to ‘experiment’ with them once again.

…Not sure why I suddenly feel like Bill Clinton when he told the press that he ‘experimented’ with marijuana, but didn’t inhale 😉

I’ll explain why I’m using bcaa’s again in a moment… plus share what the research reveals about branched chain amino acids…

As always, you’ll see the meals I consumed for the day and some clips from our back workout…
