Are you like Scott and I… always on the lookout for healthy meals that taste great and require very little time and effort to prepare? Eggs are a part of my nutrition plan each and every day. Because I consume them so often I always keep my eyes open for recipes that will add variety to how I prepare them.
Today I came across a great fat burning recipe in Tom Venuto’s Burn The Fat Inner Circle called the “Low Calorie Red and Green Scramble”.
Not only did we decide to try it out for ourselves, but Scott also used this as an opportunity to teach our daughter Noelle how to prepare healthy meals. Our kids understand the value of consuming healthy nutritious foods, but up to this point we haven’t taught them how to cook nutrient rich meals.
There’s really no excuse not to prepare healthy meals if it’s easy enough that a child can do it ๐

This meal is delicious and SUPER nutritious (that’s FOUR vegetables) and low in calories! (add oatmeal, fruit, etc on the side if you need more calories and carbs, of course).
I often hear parents complain that it’s difficult to get their kids to eat healthy and consume fruit and vegetables. I was a picky eater as a kid too ๐ But as parents it takes persistence and a bit of education for your kids on the importance of eating healthy (keep it simple).
The best thing that you can do is to get creative with your cooking and try new recipes that bring out the tasty flavor of vegetables. I personally do not enjoy eating vegetables on their own, but when you add them into a recipe like the Burn The Fat Low Calorie Red and Green Scramble I could consume them all day.
