…Planning and tracking their meals.
Ya, I know… it’s not sexy… and some people are just down right intimidated by it because it involves some upfront work… but in the end it’s worth it.
Tracking your meals is an education… it’s an eye opening experience. Most people are shocked at how many calories they were consuming with their old eating habits.
They are also surprised at how few calories it takes to feel satisfied when you are consuming 90-95% healthy foods…
…In fact, one of the female Physique Artists from the program asked, “Is it necessary to eat ALL the meals in the program?! I’ve never eaten this much food in one day in my LIFE!!!!”
…and that was in a caloric deficit ๐
This brings up a great point. Calculating your target caloric intake provides you with a foundation to tweak and build upon. It’s NOT an exact science… but it’s better to begin from a solid educational guess, than simply pulling a number out of a hat.
One of our female Physique Artists ran her numbers through the calculations, yet even with a fairly aggressive deficit she still wasn’t burning fat. This would typically be the point where some people would say, “Counting calories doesn’t work.” and they would give up.
…But not our Physique Artists. We know better. We understand the value of our feedback system.
She simply reduced her calories a little more and BANG! A loss of 5 pounds in one week from a simple little change.
5 pounds is a bit more than I would recommend to release in one week… but each of these three women were ecstatic with their progress…
…and nothing is more motivating than progress itself.
So now, they know they can get away with eating a little bit more and still fit within their 2-3 pound fat loss target for the week.
If you aren’t tracking your meals you’re simply guessing if you are in a caloric deficit or not.
When it comes to my physique I’d rather not leave things to chance, because it only leads to frustration and confusion.
If you aren’t tracking your meals you will have no idea what changes you need to make and how big those changes need to be.
This isn’t something you need to do for the long-term. I only track my meals a few weeks out of the year.
But because I follow the same pre-calculated meal plans from the 33 Days To A Picture Perfect Physique ‘Speed-Sculpt’ system most of the time, I have a very clear idea of how many calories I’m consuming even when I’m not tracking.
It’s time to get serious and laser focused on your results. You are worth the extra effort.
