Physique Training, I absolutely freak’n LOVE it! I anticipate each workout with incredible enthusiasm. Next to quality time with my family, getting a pump on and lifting some heavy shit is my favourite part of the day.

Physique TrainingThe moment I walk through those gym doors, all of life’s distractions melt away. By giving myself permission to let go of my daily demands, I am now free to explore and unleash the greatness within me. This is my time!

The gym is my serenity. It’s where I become one with the iron, while feeling completely in-tune with my body. I soak up the entire experience with a heightened sense of awareness for every process that’s taking place in my body. Every contraction, every breath, and every heart beat pumping blood to my working muscles.

I marinate in the burning sensation at the end of a set. I thrive from the challenge of stepping outside my comfort zone, while testing the limits of my human potential.

With each rep, my mind-muscle connection becomes stronger. My ability to steer the neural drive toward the target muscle becomes AMPlified, creating insane muscle tension and the most incredible contraction possible. Chest and Triceps Workout: Training For The Feel

Crushed Chest and Triceps today from phase 15 of the Aesthetic Muscle Plan. My main focus with my chest right now is to enhance my mind-muscle connection, and it’s been going really well…

I have never started a New Year off this well. Completely 100% focused and “In The Zone!” No doubt, I’m going to dominate 2015 by unleashing my greatness!

Supplement Update

Late 2014 I cut out all supplements as a fun little self experiment to see if I noticed any kind of difference. I reveal my insights in today’s video, plus share the supplements I’ve reintroduced to my nutrition plan and the new supplements I’ve added in, which I’ve never tried before.

I do plan on adding bcaa’s back into my nutrition plan soon. I know there’s conflicting evidence out there. Some who swear by bcaa’s and others who think they are a complete waste of money. I can’t say that I’ve noticed a dramatic difference in muscle gains during building phases or the prevention of muscle loss during cutting phases, but it still remains to be a supplement I’m intrigued by. The advantages of consuming bcaa’s are small, but sometimes I simply feel like taking advantage of the small advantage 😉

I also plan on adding fish oil back into my supplement plan too. The last time I used fish oil, I was experimenting with higher doses (4-6mg), which I noticed was the dose used in many muscle building and fat loss studies. This time I won’t go nearly as high.

Now that you see what’s in my current supplement plan, I’d love to hear the supplements you use as well.

Back and Biceps Workout Using Myo-Reps

Blasted back and biceps today from phase 15 of the Aesthetic Muscle Plan. In this footage I share some of the exercises we did, which includes the use of Myo-reps, one of our favorite physique training protocol.

Shoulder, Chest, Calves and Backyard Ice Rink

I began today’s workout with some specialized training to build my calves. The main workout focused on sculpting our shoulders. Then I finished off with some specialized training to build my chest… just enough to stimulate the muscle fibres, not destroy them.

Chest and calves are two body parts that I really want to build up this year, so I’ll be giving them some extra special attention with my physique training program design.

The temps finally dropped below the freezing mark this week, so I got my hustle on and set up our ice rink in the backyard. It’s only 20×40, but it provides endless hours of fun and a lifetime of incredible memories. We especially love getting out there after dinner when there is a light snowfall.
