Late 2014 I cut out all supplements as a fun little self experiment to see if I noticed any kind of difference. I reveal my insights in today’s video, plus share the supplements I’ve reintroduced to my nutrition plan and the new supplements I’ve added in, which I’ve never tried before.
I do plan on adding bcaa’s back into my nutrition plan soon. I know there’s conflicting evidence out there. Some who swear by bcaa’s and others who think they are a complete waste of money. I can’t say that I’ve noticed a dramatic difference in muscle gains during building phases or the prevention of muscle loss during cutting phases, but it still remains to be a supplement I’m intrigued by. The advantages of consuming bcaa’s are small, but sometimes I simply feel like taking advantage of the small advantage 😉
I also plan on adding fish oil back into my supplement plan too. The last time I used fish oil, I was experimenting with higher doses (4-6mg), which I noticed was the dose used in many muscle building and fat loss studies. This time I won’t go nearly as high.
